Mastercard website 'crashed' in Wikileaks protest

Anonymous, a group of internet activists, tweeted today that 'www.mastercard.com is down and it is confirmed'. The hackers crashed the MasterCard website because MasterCard yesterday suspended all payments to the whistle-blowing Wikileaks website. Anonymous Group say they 'do not have much of an affiliation with Wikileaks but they fight for the same reason'. They say they 'want transparency' and 'support those who are helping to lead our world to freedom and democracy'.

Reaction
I think it is very interesting to see how things have been developed since the existence of Wikileaks. It raises a lot of questions like 'how to deal with transparency of information on the internet? And 'how to deal with cybercrime against companies who do not agree with the content of a website and therefore suspend their payments? But I think it is scary to know that hackers can crash website from credit card companies and banks. It makes people really vulnerable.
