Publication date: 28 November 2010
Last night the coldest temperature since 1985 for the month November is recorded in Llysdinam; -17,3C. Forecasters warned that the very low temperatures will continue this week in Great Britain. In some parts of Scotland and northern England there has already fallen more than a foot of snow, and there is still more snow expected later this week. The Met Office has given several weather warnings. The driving conditions are very bad. Yesterday a woman died after she was thrown from her vehicle.
Reaction
I think landscapes covered in snow are beautiful, and you can make some great pictures. The first days of heavy snowfall are fun but when it continues it gives so much problems. Roads are unridable, airports are closed, trains are delayed. We, Great Britain and the Netherlands, are never prepared for so much snowfall and the very low temperatures.
